In order to prepare for your surgery, you should obtain medical clearance from your primary care physician within 30 days of your scheduled procedure. For outpatient procedures, you should also arrange for a family member or friend to drive you to and from the appointment. Avoid any anti-inflammatory drugs or blood thinning agents one week prior to surgery. Do not eat or drink anything after midnight the night before your scheduled procedure. You will also be contacted by a nurse from Lake Forest Hospital with additional pre-operative instructions prior to your surgery date.
